Today's Tip: A Job Search E-mail Account

There are many free, reliable web mail services available (such as Gmail, which I use for this blog:  bcjobblog@gmail.com).

For your job search, why not create a separate e-mail account specifically for receiving job alerts and communicating with prospective employers? You can choose a professional name, rather than something fun that you might use for a personal account. New e-mail accounts usually stay spam-free for awhile, and if you don't give out this account name to friends and family, it won't be inundated with jokes and forwards, making your daily task of correspondence review much easier.

Happy job hunting!
